All of our house managers have extensive home maintenance and construction experience. To ensure the best possible service, we conduct a thorough review process. All of our partners must have a verified license and general liability insurance. They cannot have any liens or open lawsuits against them. We also examine their portfolio to ensure the quality of work and interview past clients for reference checks.
You can tap the "TASKS" button in the Glasshouse app or click on the "TASKS" tab in the online dashboard. From here you can add a photo, describe the project, and identify the location in your home.
Your house manager will then review the task and invite you to schedule an appointment or recommend that a licensed professional handle the project. Your house manager can also source and arrange for a licensed professional to come to your home for a small management fee.

No, one of the benefits of having a dedicated house manager is that you can trust them to work unsupervised in your home. Simply ask your house manager to set up a lockbox at your house, then schedule your task(s) as you normally would. You will receive a report following the visit with updates on the status of your task(s).
Yes, our house managers are licensed general contractors who can handle any size construction projects. Scope and terms should be discussed directly with your house manager.
Your house manager can also manage projects, large and small. As a project manager, they can oversee a wide network of service professionals to ensure that your project is done to your exact specifications. There's nothing more reassuring than having an advocate on your side!
For urgent requests, you can message your house manager to schedule an appointment. However, we only operate during normal business hours and service is based on availability.
We currently service clients throughout California's East Bay in Oakland, Piedmont, Berkeley, Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga, Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos, and Willow Glen. Your house manager will arrive for quarterly visits with a preset list of home maintenance tasks to accomplish. With every visit, they also create maintenance reports and update your digital home profile. You can access the task list and reports in the Glasshouse app and the online dashboard. We accept all major credit cards including American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.
You will be billed following your quarterly service visit or once a requested task list is completed.
Your account will automatically renew each quarter. However, you can cancel at any time.
